AEP provides overall and selective reel to reel plating services for various reeled material including strip stock, blanked parts, as well as stamped and formed contacts. We have the ability to plate overall, selective depth, selective stripe and spot for keeping gold usage to a minimum.
Thanks to the Fabrication Division of AEP, we are able to maintain and upgrade our reel to reel plating lines, as well as build the necessary tooling to plate your parts without having to go to outside sources.

Reel To Reel Controlled Depth Plating
Plating is deposited overall or selectively.
Can be used on stamped parts or continuous strip stock.
Selective plating is restricted to the edge of the part on both sides.
Reel to Reel Spot Plating
With spot plating, the finish is deposited in a pattern of spots on non-masked areas.
Can be used on stamped parts
Spot plating can be applied to one side or both sides and in multiple patterns.
Reel to Reel Stripe Plating
Plating is deposited selectively on non-masked areas.
Can be used on stamped parts or continuous strip stock
Can be applied to any area of the part, one side or both sides
Capable of multiple stripes.
Reel to Reel Tape Masking Plating
Protected area is masked with tape. Plating is deposited in a continuous stripe to non-masked areas.
Can be used on continuous strip stock.
Can be masked on one side or both sides.
Can be combined with other technologies (i.e., stripe or control depth.)
