AEP takes great pride in maintaining the highest quality when it comes to environmental controls, safety and responsibility. To this end, we have a stringent environmental program in place that is designed to conserve, reclaim, and recycle resources, as well as meet or exceed federal and state regulations.
We are committed to the safety and protection of the environment, our employees, our customers and our community. Our primary objectives are to:

- Minimize the generation of all waste
- Reduce air and water emissions
- Continue to reduce energy and water usage
Our program includes:
- Full-time on-site environmental manager and environmental staff to handle all EH&S issues
- State-of-the-art waste treatment system and program with 24 Hours/Day coverage by trained environmental staff
- Full compliance with all local, CT DEEP, and Federal EPA permit requirements
- Full compliance with CT DEEP Storm Water Permit
- Full compliance with US Department of Transportation waste manifesting and shipping requirements
- Recycling of F006 waste sludge generated from waste treatment system
- Full compliance with REACH requirements
- Full compliance with RoHS requirements
- Full compliance with Conflict Minerals requirements
